Inclined Orbit Path of Rotating Planet in Modified Gravity
نویسنده
چکیده
By analogy with Maxwellian electromagnetic field, the modified gravity for the rotating planet is presented. The theory reasons out the inclined orbit of rotating planet in the solar system, and explains the existence of orbit inclination angle of the planet. When the rotating planet revolves round the sun on the solar equatorial plane, the study yields results consistent with Newtonian gravity, including the ellipse and equal-area law etc. When the orbital parameters are the constants, the rotating planet revolution the sun moves along the ellipse, which lies on the inclined plane with tiny orbital eccentricity in the three-dimensional space. Local stability criterion for self-gravitating disks in modified gravity
We study local stability of self-gravitating fluid and stellar disk in the context of modified gravity theories which predict a Yukawa-like term in the gravitational potential of a point mass. We investigate the effect of such a Yukawa-like term on the dynamics of self-gravitating disks. More specifically, we investigate the consequences of the presence of this term for the local stability of t...
متن کاملTransit Lightcurves of Extrasolar Planets Orbiting Rapidly-Rotating Stars
Main-sequence stars earlier than spectral type ∼ F6 or so are expected to rotate rapidly due to their radiative exteriors. This rapid rotation leads to an oblate stellar figure. It also induces the photosphere to be hotter (by up to several thousand Kelvin) at the pole than at the equator as a result of a process called gravity darkening that was first predicted by von Zeipel (1924). Transits o...
متن کاملSe p 20 09 Interaction of a giant planet in an inclined orbit with a circum - stellar disk
We investigate the dynamical evolution of a Jovian–mass planet injected into an orbit highly inclined with respect to its nesting gaseous disk. Planet–planet scattering induced by convergent planetary migration and mean motion resonances may push a planet into such an out of plane configuration with inclinations as large as 20 − 30. In this scenario the tidal interaction of the planet with the ...
متن کاملGeneration of Highly Inclined Trans-neptunian Objects by Planet Nine
The trans-Neptunian region of the solar system exhibits an intricate dynamical structure, much of which can be explained by an instability-driven orbital history of the giant planets. However, the origins of a highly inclined, and in certain cases retrograde, population of trans-Neptunian objects remain elusive within the framework of this evolutionary picture. In this work, we show that the ex...
متن کاملOn the tidal evolution of Hot Jupiters on inclined orbits
Tidal friction is thought to be important in determining the long–term spin–orbit evolution of short–period extrasolar planetary systems. Using a simple model of the orbit–averaged effects of tidal friction (Eggleton et al. 1998), we study the evolution of close–in planets on inclined orbits, due to tides. We analyse the effects of the inclusion of stellar magnetic braking by performing a phase...
